We are grateful and honored to share that Johnny and Hansel Publications recently participated in the IBBY Asia Pacific Regional Conference, held in Suwon, South Korea on August 30–31, 2025.
This prestigious gathering brought together authors, illustrators, librarians, publishers, educators, and reading advocates from across the region. With the theme “Living in Harmony with Our Planet,” the conference highlighted how children’s literature plays a vital role in promoting global understanding, inclusivity, and the protection of children’s rights. Hosted by the Korean Board on Books for Young People (KBBY), the event provided a meaningful platform for international cooperation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the children’s book community.

A Message from Our Publisher
“It is truly humbling and inspiring for us at Johnny and Hansel Publications to be part of this international gathering of storytellers and advocates for children’s literature. Bringing Filipino stories to the global stage is not just about showcasing our culture, but also about sharing universal values of kindness, resilience, and harmony with nature.
We dedicate this milestone to all our authors, illustrators, and readers who continue to believe in the power of books to change lives. Maraming salamat, IBBY Philippines and IBBY Asia-Pacific, for this opportunity.”

A Grateful Heart
We extend our deepest thanks to IBBY Philippines (International Board on Books for Young People Philippines) for their continued support and for opening doors for Filipino stories to shine on the global stage.
Being part of this conference reminds us of the shared mission we have across borders: to create books that inspire children, empower their voices, and encourage harmony with one another and with our planet.
Indeed, we are blessed and honored!
